Trish is founding partner with Lucinda Kenning of the HR consulting company, Holliday│Kenning. Both partners are HR executives in the industry and provide leaders in the private and public sectors with an organizational playbook that focuses on growing leaders and driving performance. The Holliday│Kenning framework offers organizations and its leaders a Playbook with five distinct approaches (plays) that are critical for a winning workplace that attracts and retains top talent and drives cultural transformation.

Trish is a speaker and workshop facilitator at the local, national, and international level. She serves on various non-profit and academic boards and enjoys giving back to the community. As an alum of Young Leaders of Nashville, Leadership Tennessee, and Leadership Middle Tennessee, Trish has always had a passion for non-profits and is a founding board member of the non-profit organization, Impact Nashville.

As the state of Tennessee’s first Chief Learning Officer, Trish was recognized by Governing Magazine as being instrumental in the successful transformation of the state workforce. She drove change through continuous improvement, leadership development and employee learning at the macro and micro levels. Trish designed the LEAD Tennessee program to create a sustainable platform for talent retention and succession planning in government. She led strategic planning and talent development for state executives in all three branches of government.

As an award-winning leader, Trish was the cover feature in the 2019 March issue of the national Chief Learning Officer Magazine. She was named one of the 2019 Women of Influence by the Nashville Business Journal. Trish received the Warner W. Stockberger Achievement Award in honor of a lifetime of outstanding contributions toward the improvement of public human resources management by IPMA- HR.  As an adjunct professor at Lipscomb University, Trevecca University, and University of Memphis, Trish teaches undergraduates to doctoral students in areas like Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Human Resources Leadership and Management, Personal Leadership Development, and Understanding Management.

Whether it is serving with IPMA-HR, Habitat for Humanity, Disability Rights of Tennessee, or Young Professionals in Government, she values paying it forward and relishes being active in the community. From her days in the Appalachian missionary field through her work in government, she has found enormous joy in helping people become their best selves and organizations to reach optimal performance.

Lucinda Kenning led the Human Capital Management division of the State of Oklahoma for seven years. She has led large structural reorganizations that resulted in transformational culture changes and is passionate about sharing her experiences and best practices.

Lucinda’s experience as a change agent began prior to her tenure in state government. She was a Loss Prevention District Manager for Wal-Mart, Inc. during a time of rapid growth and regional expansion. Lucinda oversaw and opened multiple stores in Florida. The cultural norm of the company was summed up in their motto, “we can do the difficult today and the impossible tomorrow.” Today, Lucinda models this energetic and optimistic approach in her business consultations. Lucinda is an in-demand speaker that has been praised for her ability to apply academic principles to real-word environments with solutions that are both evidence-based and implementable.

Lucinda is a seasoned leader in human resources professional organizations and respected mentor. She is active in IPMA-HR serving on national committees and holding multiple offices, most recently President in the Southern Region. Lucinda has been a member of the National Association of State Personnel Executives (NASPE), where she served on the Executive Council and received the 2017 President’s Award.
